Free Energy Audits for Scottsdale Residents

Are you considering making any energy efficient improvements to your home or business?

Have you considered having an energy audit done on your home or commercial property?

Despite the fact that you should consider having these things done anyway to take advantage of the energy tax credits available to homeowners and maybe save your business a few bucks in energy savings along the way.

The City of Scottsdale has received approximately $230,000 for a Community Energy Audit Program. These audits will include air leakage testing, heating and cooling system evaluation and an assessment of the property’s last 12 months utility bills. Once the audit is completed property owners will receive a written report of the audit findings and recommendations and available incentives for energy efficiency improvements.

To be eligible for the free audit the property must meet the following criteria:

– Structure must be less than 5,000 square feet

– Lie within the City of Scottsdale’s corporate boundary and be located south of Indian Bend Road

– Property owners must prove U.S. citizenship and provide proof of ownership of the property

There are limited funds available for these audits so I would act fast if you are thinking about having this done.
